MTN agrees to pay $1.7bn fine in 3 years
MTN Nigeria has agreed to pay the $1.7 billion(N300 bn) fine the Federal government slammed on it following their failure to deactivate 5.1 million unregistered sim cards. In a statement released today June 10th, the company said the fine will be paid within a space of 3 years

OMG! Shocking photos & video of baby born with heart outside his body in Yobe
This adorable baby was yesterday born with his heart outside his body at a local hospital in Gaidam area of Yobe state.

Photos were shared online by Hausa Facebook page Rariya who also said the baby was immediately rushed to University Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri, Borno State for a life saving surgery. This extremely rare condition called ectopia cordis affects just eight in every million births.
I saw the video of this adorable baby's heart beating right outside his body also shared by Rariya and it sho cked the hell out of me. Oh Lord! See it after the cut.

Reports have it that Governor Ayo Fayose has embarked on an indefinite strike in solidarity with workers of the state civil service, who have been on strike for almost two weeks.

The touching plight of a first class graduate who had to do 'agbero' work to get transport fare back to Lagos
Haruspice' Musings shared this touching story of a first class graduate whom he found being beaten up by two men at Area 1 park, Abuja. Read below.."I have been feeling sore since yesterday following a heart-breaking scene I witnessed at the popular Area 1 Park. Struggling to stop rains of punches on his face was a young guy in his 30s. He was being mercilessly mobbed by two other guys who were cu rsing, using all sorts of obscenities.

I don't want moved me sha, but I had to alight from my car in rescue of this guy. I managed to stop the guys from their vicious dexterities on this guy but not without getting a slight scratch on my left ear. In between shoving, I managed to push this guy into my car as I drove away to a distant into safety.

Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade stunned workers on the 1st of May, Workers Day, when he announced the payment of salaries for the month of May on the first day of the month.
